Erin Lustig

Erin Lustig

Erin is the director of Starstruck and the artistic director of Seamless Dance Theater. Erin began her choreographic journey at the young age of 9 years old as she rearranged the living room furniture to make room to dance.
 
She began teaching at age 14 and opened her own studio at 18. She then went on to start Midwest Dance Connection, a local convention, in 2000.

Erin graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.F.A. in Dance. She studied with some of the top instructors in the nation from Alvin Ailey School to the Milwaukee Ballet. She has performed in the Williams-Henry Dance Theatre, on Hooray for Kids television show, and as the Scarecrow in the Wiz. She is known throughout the country for her unique and heart-felt choreography which has thus led her to numerous awards and recognition.

Erin founded Seamless Dance Theater and began to explore the true purpose of her choreography. She realized, the heart of it all lies in the message to the audience. She is dedicated to sharing a love of the arts with the disadvantaged women and children of Kansas City. Erin donates her time to teach classes at Safehouse to abused women and children. Erin was awarded the Humanitarian of the year award from the Federation of Dance Competitions in 2013 for her work through Seamless Dance Theater.

Erin does choreography throughout the country as well as judging for national competitions.
Jessica Brown Morrow

Jessica Brown Morrow

Jessica Brown Morrow is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in elementary education and dance. She was a member of the K-State Classy Cats for four years and team captain for three years. Jessica has a special gift for working with children.

Jessica is well known in the area for her great choreography and teaching techniques and has won numerous choreography awards. She has also been an NDA instructor and is in demand as a competition judge and choreographer. She has choreographed for numerous schools throughout Kansas. Starstruck has been Jessica's home for the past 15 years where she is the assistant competition director and a vital part of the teaching team! Your child will love working with Jessica! 
Kristen Burton

Kristen Burton

Kristen started dancing at the age of 4 and grew up in the Kansas City area dancing competitively. She then moved on to dance competitively through her After graduating high school, she went on to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she earned a B.F.A. in dance. She now teaches at Starstruck Performing Arts Center and is in her 13th year teaching. 

Along with teaching, Kristen has choreographed for numerous studios and dance teams at the high school and college levels around the mid-west. She was also the assistant coach for the Olathe North Eaglettes for five years. 

Kristen has trained with numerous instructors and choreographers around the country including those from River North Chicago Dance Company and Alvin Ailey.  She has performed works from Erin Lustig, Deanna Hiett, Sabrina Madison-Cannon and Rodni Williams.  Kristen is also a member of Kansas City’s Seamless Dance Theatre. Through the mission of Seamless, Kristen has taught Seamless’ class for children with special needs where she enjoys giving the children a chance to experience a love of dance. Kristen has a passion for sharing what she has learned with her love of dance and getting to help children work to achieve their goals!
Christina Mowrey

Christina Mowrey

Christina Mowrey grew up dancing competitively and began assisting/teaching in middle school. She went on to attend the Conservatory of music and dance at the university of Missouri Kansas City where she received her B.F.A. She has been a dancer for Williams/Henry & Seamless Dance Theatre since 2006. Christina has also danced with Quixotic and Missouri Contemporary Ballet.  She has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Keven Iega Jeff, Dwight Roden, Jennifer Muller, and Donald Mckayle. Christina has been teaching at Starstruck since 2006.

Topher Benjamin

Topher Benjamin, is originally from Hannibal, Missouri. He earned his B.F.A. in dance from Stephens College. While there he performed with Dimensions Repertory Dance Company. He has studied at the EDGE in L.A. and interned at Broadway Dance Center in NYC. During his internship at Broadway Dance Center, he was personal assistant to Brian Friedman, at The Pulse.  His company work includes Missouri Contemporary Ballet, T(h)rash, and Seamless Dance Theatre. He spent time in the Caribbean performing and teaching for Carnival Cruise Lines. Shortly after moving to New York, he began assisting Sheryl Murakami at BDC. His work with Murakami, lead to him being signed and represented by Clear Talent Group.  He’s currently on Faculty at Dance Fit Flow, Binge Dance, and Starstruck Performing Arts Center.  His artist credits include Joss Stone, Carishma, Mike Munich, Cherie Lily, Brenda Dharling, Yuhua Hamasaki, Kandi Lane, and Mila Jam. Commercial credits include Macy’s Fashion’s Night Out for Tommy Hilfiger, Snap On Feathers, Yotel NYC Grand Opening, The Tyra Banks Show, and AT&T Music for You: Jason Derulo.
McKenzi Wright

McKenzi Wright

McKenzi Wright grew up dancing competitively at Starstruck PAC.  After graduating high school, she went on to get a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas.  During that time she was on a competitive cheer squad and also started a non-for profit organization providing dance class to children with special needs.  Before becoming a mom to two she worked at Childrens Mercy Hospital in the inpatient unit as a Nursing Assistant.  She has been teaching dance in the Kansas City area for almost ten years now.  Mckenzi has a passion for teaching young dancers and gets so much joy out of watching their love for dance grow.
Bronwyn Troxel

Bronwyn Troxel

Bronwyn began dancing at the age of 3 and danced on 2 local studios before finding her forever home at Starstruck. She was a member of the OE dance and cheer teams where she choreographed numerous solos, duets, and trios. Bronwyn has also performed in 5 shows at Theatre in The Park and was an instructor for UDA. Bronwyn recently graduated with a B.G.S. in Communications and a minor in Theatre Performance from the University of Kansas. 

Bronwyn began substitute teaching at Starstruck in High School and continued through College while also teaching summer classes. She is currently teaching classes, helping with PR, and other various tasks around the studio. Bronwyn has always had a passion for teaching and dance. She is excited to be back at her home studio helping kids find their passion for dance and finding their forever dance family at Starstruck.
Jordan Tincher

Jordan Tincher

Jordan began dancing at the age of 9 and immediately fell in love with the world of dance. She danced competitively through KC area studios, but found her final home at Starstruck Performing Arts Center. In high school, Jordan was a member of the Award- Winning Olathe North Eaglettes Dance Team, holding the captain position for 2 of those years. After high school Jordan spent a year at the University of Kansas as a Rock Chalk Dancer, but continued her collegiate experience at Pittsburg State University where she studied business and was a Crimson & Gold Dancer! Shortly after her move to Pittsburg in 2011, she began teaching at the Y Academy of Dance. After a couple years of teaching and running programs through the Y, she was promoted to Director and continued this for 3 years. In her time as director, she grew the program to double it's size and earned two National Titles her final year.

In 2016, it was time to return home. She is currently the Head Coach of Olathe East Dance Team, and an instructor with us at Starstruck Performing Arts Center. She spends her spare time choreographing for area dance teams, and studios. Not only does she enjoy being back home and close to her family, she now is back in her forever dance home teaching numerous rec, competitive, and styled classes with coworkers who helped her fall in love with the sport years ago.
Claire Kampschroeder
Hi there! I'm Claire Kampschroeder! I am 23 years old from Overland Park, Kansas. I began dancing competitively at the age of 3 where I trained at Starstruck PAC in Jazz, Ballet, Modern and Tumbling. At age 14 I became an apprentice for Seamless Dance Theatre where I understudied shows and performed for the next 5 years. After High School, I continued my dance career by attending American Musical Dramatic Arts Academy and Conservatory (AMDA) in Los Angeles, CA. After 2.5 years I received my BFA in Dance Theater and signed with Go2Talent Agency. Since then I have traveled the world performing with GEOMETRY Contemporary Dance Company, performed at Coachella with Kanye West for his 'Sunday Service', and performed at events with The LA Follies around Los Angeles. I was most recently dancing for AIDA Cruises in Germany! In addition to dance, I’ve also found a love for teaching; while in California I taught at Bobbie’s School of Performing Arts and The House! Now I am so grateful to be back in Kansas teaching at Starstruck PAC where I am able to share my passion for dance with the next generation.

More Than Just A Dance Studio​

Starstruck is dedicated to dance education and giving its students a solid foundation in dance. We believe in teaching students the importance of self motivation, goal setting, and proper technique.  We strive to teach students to take responsibility for their improvement and to work to their maximum potential.  We believe a dance studio should be a friendly and safe place to grow as an artist. Students and parents are expected to have a positive attitude, to maintain a drama free learning environment.  We believe dance should be fun! We want our students to gain great life skills by being a member of the Starstruck team.  We believe that teachers should be educated in dance at the college level.

 
SPAC Dance Facility

Starstruck Performing Arts Center is located two blocks East of 85th and Quivira in Lenexa, Kansas. The state of the art facility is 14,000 square feet with six large classrooms that have raised wood floors covered with Marley Flooring.  There is one smaller room used for Tiny Tots that make a total of seven dance studios for instruction.There is a newly remodeled waiting area at the facility and ample parking to accommodate students and parents.  The studio is staffed from Monday through Thursday and on Saturday mornings.

The facility also contains two student lounges with a microwave, refrigerator and a study area for student use.
