Erin began teaching at age 14 and opened her own studio at 18. She then went on to start Midwest Dance Convention, a local convention, in 2000.
Erin graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.F.A. in Dance. She studied with some of the top instructors in the nation from Alvin Ailey School to the Milwaukee Ballet. She has performed in the Williams-Henry Dance Theatre, on Hooray for Kids television show and as the Scarecrow in the Wiz. She is known throughout the country for her unique and heart-felt choreography (which has lead her to numerous awards and recognition nationally).
Erin founded Seamless Dance Theater in 2003, a 501(c)3 corporation, and began to explore the true purpose of her choreography. She realized that the heart of all of it lies in the message to the audience. She is dedicated to sharing a love of the arts with the disadvantaged women and children of Kansas City. Erin donates her time as the choreographer and director of Seamless that works to bring the arts to women and children. Erin continues to choreograph throughout the country as well as judges for national dance competitions.
Jessica Brown Morrow is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in education and dance. She was a member of the K State Classy Cats for four years and team captain for three years. Jessica has a special gift for working with children.
Jessica is well known in the area for her great choreography and teaching techniques. She has also been an NDA instructor and is in demand as a competitive judge and choreographer. She has choreographed for numerous schools throughout Kansas. Starstruck has been Jessica's home for the past nine years where she is the assistance director and a vital part of the teaching team! Your child will love working with Jessica!
Kristen's interest in dance began at the age of four. She competed with Starstruck from the ages of 12 to 19 and began teaching at Starstruck after graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.F.A. in dance. She is in her seventh year of teaching at Starstruck.
Along with teaching kids at the competitive and recreational levels, Kristen has choreographed from numerous dance teams from local schools. She is the assistance coach for the Olathe North Eaglettes dance team as well.
Kristen has trained with numerous instructors and choreographers around the country including those from River North Chicago Dance Company and Alvin Ailey. She has performed works of Erin Lustig, Deanna Hiett, Sabrina Madison-Cannon and Rodni Williams. Kristen is also in her sixth year of dancing with Kansas City's Seamless Dance Theatre. Through the mission of Seamless, Kristin teaches relaxation classes at the local women's shelter. She also teaches Seamless' special Need dance class where she enjoys giving the kids a chance to love dance. Kristen enjoys sharing what she has learned with her love of dance with the wonderful students she has been blessed to teach.
Christina began dancing at age 3 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was part of a competitive team for the majority of her childhood. Christina attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she received her B.F.A. in dance. She was a member of the Williams-Henry Contemporary Dance Company from her senior year in college until 2010. She was also a member of the Missouri Contemporary Ballet in Columbia, Missouri for a year. Christina is currently a permanent member of the Seamless Dance Theatre under the direction of Erin Lustig.
Throughout her dance career, she has had the privilege of performing works by very talented teachers/choreographers such as Donald Mckaye, Dwight Rhoden, Mia Michaels, Shapiro and Smith, Jennifer Mullen, Sean Curren, Milton Meyers, Jose Limon, and Kevin Iega Jeff.
Christina began teaching when she was in the 8th grade and fell in love with it! There is no greater job than sharing your passion with others. She is truly blessed to have found her home at Starstruck!
Amy Hofer began dancing at the age of two and grew up dancing competitively with training in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and acro. Amy attended Kansas State University and then the University of Kansas where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Amy has lot of experience working with children and has been teaching at Starstruck for the last four years. She currently teaches creative movement, tap, ballet and mini company. Amy has two daughters who have danced at Starstruck for the past five years.
We know you will love having Amy as a teacher as she is kind, patient and exciting!
Topher Benjamin, 29, is originally from Hannibal, Missouri. He earned his B.F.A. in dance, on scholarship, from Stephens College. While there he performed with Dimensions Repertory Dance Company. He has studied at the EDGE in L.A. and interned at Broadway Dance Center in NYC.
During his internship at Broadway Dance Center, he was personal assistant to Brian Friedman at The Pulse. His company work includes Missouri Contemporary Ballet and Seamless Dance Theater. He spent time in the Caribbean performing and teaching for Carnival Cruise Lines.
After moving to New York, he began working closely with one of the industry’s most respected choreographers, Sheryl Murakami. His work with Murakami, lead to him being signed and represented by Clear Talent Group. His artist credits include Joss Stone, Carishma, Mike Munich, Cherie Lily, and Mila Jam, as well as Commercial credits including, Macy’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Snap On Feathers, Yotel, The Tyra Banks Show, and AT&T.
